Santana Lopez

Santana Lopez is a fictional character from the Fox musical comedy drama series Glee. The character is portrayed by actress Naya Rivera and has appeared in Glee from its pilot episode, first broadcast on May 19, 2009. Santana was introduced as a minor antagonist and a sidekick to Quinn Fabray in first episode of Glee, Santana’s role grew over the course of the show’s first season. In the second season, Santana has seen more high profile storylines, such as her romantic feelings for her best friend Brittany Pierce. Rivera, who has been vocally supportive of the love story between hers and Morris’ characters,has received praise for her portrayal of Santana, as well as for her for vocal work in numerous songs performed as part of New Directions.

Brittany S Pierce

Brittany was developed by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan. In Glee, Brittany is a cheerio for the fictional William McKinley High School cheerleading squad, and a member of the school’s glee club led by Will Schuester. Morris was originally hired to teach BeyoncĂ©’s Single Ladies dance to the Glee actors. The show at the time was looking for a third cheerleader, and Morris landed the role. Morris was upgraded to a series regular in the second season of the show, which saw the character have larger storylines, sing solos and perform dance routines (Brittany/Britney episode).

Sue Sylvester

Sue was developed by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck, and Ian Brennan. In Glee, Sue is the coach of the William McKinley High School cheer leading squad, and a ruthless bully to both students and faculty members alike. Because her cheer leading squad competes with the glee club for the school’s limited funding, she is often at odds with the club and more particularly its director Will Scheuster.

Noah Puckerman

Puck was developed by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan. He is Finn’s best friend and football team-mate, who initially disapproves of Finn’s joining, but eventually he himself joins the Glee club at the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, where the show is set.

Mercedes Jones

Kurt Hummel
Kurt Hummel is a fictional character and a de facto male lead from the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee. The character is portrayed by actor Chris Colfer, and has appeared in Glee from its pilot episode, first broadcast on May 19, 2009. Kurt was developed by Glee creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuck and Ian Brennan. He is a fashionable gay countertenor, who is routinely bullied at school. Throughout the first season, Kurt is a member of New Directions, the William McKinley High School Glee Club. His story lines focus on his struggle with his sexuality, as he comes out to his father and deals with his crush on glee club co-captain Finn Hudson. In season two, Kurt and Finn become stepbrothers when their parents marry. The homophobic bullying intensifies, and when football player Dave Karofsky makes a death threat against Kurt, he transfers schools and joins a rival glee club, the Dalton Academy Warblers. Colfer describes Kurt as projecting a very confident, “I’m better than you” persona, but ultimately being a typically scared and anxious teenager.

His storylines have seen him revive the school’s failing glee club, leave his wife Terri (Jessalyn Gilsig), and pine for the love of school guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays).
